SUMMARY
This article describes how to restore the default background for the Internet Explorer and Outlook Express toolbars if the background has been changed by your Internet content provider (ICP), Internet service provider (ISP), or the Microsoft Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK).

To restore the background bitmap for the toolbar, delete the BackBitmapIE5 string value under the following registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar
