CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the folder that is referred to by the TEMP environment variable is missing.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this behavior:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click System.
- On the Environment tab, note the path for the TEMP variable in the User Variables for
Name
box. The default isSystemDrive
:\Temp. - Use Windows NT Explorer to verify that the path you noted in step 3 exists. If it does not exist, create it.
