SYMPTOMS

When the Pause/Break key is pressed on a Terminal Server client, it does not work as expected (for example, it does not stop scrolling text in an MS-DOS command window). It toggles the NUMLOCK status (similar to when you press the NUM LOCK key).

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition, Service Pack 5.
