SYMPTOMS
If you use Telnet to connect to Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) port 3389, you may experience either of the following symptoms:
- If you send an invalid Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) command, the Exchange Server computer may store all the data you send in a buffer until you end the connection, rather than clearing the buffer after the invalid command is sent. This could eventually cause the server to run out of memory.
- If you send an LDAP bind request with a Distinguished Name that is longer than 1 KB, the directory service may stop unexpectedly.
