SYMPTOMS

Selecting a folder from the Folder List during the import or export of a file may cause the following error message:

This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
If the problem persists, contact the program vendor.

Clicking Details, reveals an Invalid Page Fault in module Outllib.dll.

Clicking Close, will quit Outlook and the import process may be only partially completed.

RESOLUTION

Wait until the import or export process has completed before selecting a folder from the Folder List.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
