Regtrace.exe is a utility that ships with Microsoft Site Server version 3.0. It is useful for helping debug certain problems that may occur. Use the following steps to enable Regtrace.exe:
- Click Start, click Run, type "Regtrace.exe" (without the quotation marks), and click OK.
- On the Traces tab, click to select all of the options.
- Click the Output tab and specify the desired file name for the log file. For example, C:\Trace.atf.
- Restart your computer for this to take effect.
To set the log file size:
- In the Trace Settings dialog box, click the Output tab.
- Click File.
- In Maximum Trace File Size, enter the desired value in megabytes (MB).
- Click either Apply or OK.
NOTE: You can set the log file size before step 4 in the "To enable Regtrace" section.
