SYMPTOMS
The following symptom can occur when you edit a picture in a read-only HTML file that is located on a shared network drive. When you first try to edit the picture, the file is in use, so you click Notify to receive notification when the file is available. However, when you receive the notification message stating that the file is available, and you then click Read-write and then click Discard to discard any changes made to the picture, the document and all related dialog boxes close.
