SYMPTOMS
In Microsoft PowerPoint 2000, when you print multiple collated copies of a presentation, and each copy has two slides on each page, any of the following behaviors may occur:
- The printer prints extra copies of your document (more than the number that you select).
-or-
- The printer prints continuously.
-or-
- The printer does not completely print the first presentation before it starts printing the second presentation.
-or-
- The printer starts printing the second presentation on the back side of the final page of the first presentation.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you use the duplex and collate features during the print job.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).

WORKAROUND
To temporarily work around this issue, insert a blank slide at the end of any presentation that has an odd number of slides.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft PowerPoint 2000.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1/SR-1a.
