SYMPTOMS
When you run a program that uses Microsoft Direct3D to display graphics, you may experience slow performance in the program.
CAUSE
This issue may occur for either of the following reasons:
- An AMD K6-2 microprocessor is installed in your computer and your video adapter is not compatible with AMD 3DNow! technology.
- DirectX 6.0 or later is not installed on your computer.
RESOLUTION
Update Your Video Driver
Contact the manufacturer of your video adapter to inquire about how to obtain and install the latest version of the video driver for your video adapter.

To identify the manufacturer and model of your video adapter, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click System.
- If you are using a Windows 95/98-based computer, click the Device Manager tab.

- Under the Display adapters branch, note the manufacturer and model of your video adapter, and then click OK.
- Close all open windows.
