Summary:
Applying a style or glossary entry from the Work menu will not work unless the glossary entry is defined and saved in the Standard glossary and the style is defined and saved to the default style sheet. You need to have the glossary open and the style defined in the document’s style sheet to apply either of them from the Work menu.
