We strongly recommend that all users upgrade to Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) version 6.0 running on Microsoft Windows Server 2003. IIS 6.0 significantly increases Web infrastructure security. For more information about IIS security-related topics, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

SUMMARY

After you upgrade from Internet Information Server (IIS) 4.0 to Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.0, the IWAM_computername account (which is created during IIS and Transaction Server setup) is still part of the MTS Trusted Impersonators group. By default, the MTS Trusted Impersonators group is created during the Transaction Server setup.

MORE INFORMATION

This is expected behavior during the upgrade. The MTS Trusted Impersonators group and the IWAM_Computername account can also be used for other purposes. Therefore, deleting the group after the upgrade process can cause problems.
