SYMPTOMS

NNTP logging format for MCIS 2.0 has changed since MCIS 1.0.

The News Server of MCIS 1.0 included the name of the newsgroups from which articles were read. In this way, it was possible to have statistics about the hit rate on a specific newsgroup.

In MCIS 2.0, this feature doesn't exist anymore. Only the fact that an article has been read and the article ID are logged in the logging file, but not the name of the respective newsgroup.

CAUSE

NNTP logging format for MCIS 2.0 has changed since MCIS 1.0.
