SYMPTOMS
When you browse folders using the Outlook Bar, you may receive the following error message:
CAUSE
This error message may occur when there are damaged shortcuts in the Outlook Bar.
RESOLUTION
To rebuild the Outlook Bar, start Outlook with the /resetoutlookbar command-line option. To do this, follow these steps:
NOTE: Rebuilding the Outlook Bar removes any custom shortcuts.
- Click Start, and then click Run.
- In the Open box, type:
Outlook.exe /resetoutlookbar
- Click OK.
If the above steps do not resolve the problem, exit Outlook, search for and rename the Views.dat file, and then restart Outlook. As a last resort, create a new profile.
