Summary: The “Error reading device prn” message occurs most frequently on machines during an attempt to WRITE to the printer. The problem can occur on any configuration that operates under a version of MS-DOS that does not allow a seek to the printer. This message is generated routinely on Texas Instruments Professional, HP-150, and Burroughs B25 machines.
