XL2000: Horizontal Borders Print Outside Print Region for PivotTable Component on HP LaserJet 5MP

SYMPTOMS

When you print a Web page containing a Microsoft Office PivotTable component, the borders displayed in your PivotTable are not printed correctly. Horizontal borders extend beyond the vertical borders in the PivotTable.

CAUSE

This problem may occur when all of the following conditions are true:

  • You publish a PivotTable, and in the Publish as Web Page dialog box, you click PivotTable functionality in the Add interactivity with list.


-and-

  • You print to an HP LaserJet 5MP printer.


-and-

  • Your printer driver is the Hppcl5ms.drv (4.00.950, GPC 3.78) file that ships with Windows 95 or Windows 98.

NOTE: The HP LaserJet PCL Driver vG1.30 for Windows 95/98 (HPPCL5G.drv v1.30) does not show this problem.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, download and install the latest printer driver for the HP LaserJet 5MP from the Hewlett-Packard Web site at:
