SYMPTOMS
When you turn on the Resume On Ring feature of the Microsoft Cordless Phone System, Microsoft Call Manager may not answer the call in the number of rings that you specify.
For example, if you configure the Resume On Ring feature to answer calls after four rings, Call Manager may answer the telephone after eight rings.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if a video adapter based on the NVidia Riva 128 chip set is installed in your computer.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the following methods in the order in which they are presented.

Configure the Color Palette and Screen Resolution
To configure the color palette and screen resolution:
- Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
- Double-click Display.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Under Colors or Color Palette, click 256 Colors or High Color (16 bit).
- Under Screen area, move the slider to the 800 by 600 pixels position.
- Click OK.
- If you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.
