Microsoft has expanded its online services to a non-proprietary platform with the addition of no-charge Microsoft-sponsored NNTP newsgroups on the Internet. Previously, Microsoft-sponsored electronic service forums were limited to users of CompuServe and MSN. With the creation of these newsgroups, users of Microsoft Access can obtain online service support on the Microsoft Support Web site at
