CAUSE
Outlook forms exhibit this behavior when you turn off the form grid and turn on the control grid before exiting design mode.
WORKAROUND
Follow these steps to prevent the grid from appearing when you are not in design mode:
- Open the form.
- On the Tools menu, point to Forms, and then click Design This Form.
- Right-click the control that displays the grid.
- Click to clear the Show Grid check box.
- On the Form menu, click Run This Form.
Any toolbox control capable of displaying a grid can have this problem.
