This article applies to a Microsoft Access database (.mdb) and a Microsoft Access project (.adp).
SUMMARY
When you change the Default database folder setting in a database, the new folder that you specify will also be used as the default location for new data access pages.

To see that the Default database folder setting also applies to data access pages, follow these steps:
- Open any database.
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the General Tab of the Options dialog box, look at Default database folder setting and note the folder that is specified there.
- Click OK.
- Create and save a new data access page. Note that the default folder that is specified when you save the page is the same as the folder specified in the Default Database Folder setting.
To change the Default database folder setting, follow these steps:
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- On the General Tab of the Options dialog box, change the Default database folder setting to C:\.
- Create and save a new data access page. Note that the default folder specified when you save the page is now C:\.
