SYMPTOMS

You try to create a Microsoft Exchange Server Script in a public folder using Outlook, but the Agents tab does not appear in the folder properties.

CAUSE

The Server Scripting extension for Outlook is not turned on by default.

RESOLUTION

To turn on the Server Scripting extension, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. On the Other tab, click Advanced Options.
  3. Click Add-In Manager and then click to select the Server Scripting check box. Click OK three times to return to Outlook.

NOTE: To have an Agents tab on a Calendar folder you must turn off the option to "Always use local calendar", found in the Calendar Options on the Tools, Options, menu item.

MORE INFORMATION

To access folder properties, right-click the public folder and on the shortcut menu, click Properties.
