User Profiles Not Copied to Server with Updated Mprserv.dll File

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

On a computer running Windows 95 and configured for user profiles on a Microsoft or Novell NetWare network, user profiles may not be copied to the server as expected when you log off the network.



CAUSE

This problem can occur if the Mprserv.dll file version 4.00.959 or earlier is installed on the computer running Windows 95.

RESOLUTION

A supported fix that corrects this problem is now available from Microsoft, but has not been fully regression tested and should be applied only to computers experiencing this specific problem.

The English version of this fix for Windows 95 (all releases) should have the following file attributes or later:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows 95.

This problem is resolved in Microsoft Windows 98.
