SUMMARY

The AddressBook dialog box, displayed by the AddressBook method of the Session object, is not modal.

MORE INFORMATION

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a documenation error in the Collaboration Data Objects (CDO 1.x) documentation. Setting the parentWindow parameter to a valid hWnd in the calling application, results in the AddressBook dialog box being modal to that particular window. This prevents the possibility of closing the application while the AddressBook dialog box displays. The Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) documentation for the AddressBook method of the Session object is incorrect in stating that a value of 0 (default) for the parentWindow parameter results in the AddressBook dialog box being application modal.
