SUMMARY
The Internet Database Connector Wizard has been replaced by the Database Region Wizard. The Wizard creates Active Server Pages (ASP) to accomplish this task. These pages will be formatted correctly but they will not function on Web servers that do not support ASP.
NOTE: The FrontPage Internet Database Connector Wizard will allow you to create an Internet database connector (IDC) file even if you are not using a server that supports this technology. Although the file will be created correctly, it may not function on some Web servers.
MORE INFORMATION
To use IDC files correctly, you need to publish them to one of the following Web servers (that support the IDC standard):
- Microsoft Internet Information Server
- Microsoft Peer Web Services for Windows NT 4.0
- Microsoft Personal Web Server for Windows 95
Web servers which support ASP:
- Microsoft Internet Information Server 3.0 with ASP support
- Microsoft Peer Web Services for Windows NT 4.0 with ASP support
- Microsoft Personal Web Server for Windows 95 with ASP support.
For additional information or to download active server pages, please see the following Microsoft World Wide Web site:
