SYMPTOMS
If you use utilities such as srvinfo.exe to repeatedly query a remote system for process information, doing so may cause the memory used by the Winlogin process on the remote computer to slowly increase without decreasing again.
CAUSE
This is caused in inetmib1.dll, where memory is allocated during initialization, but not de-allocated during clean-up.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
