SYMPTOMS
After you install Microsoft Windows 98 on an NEC or Packard Bell computer that includes a Sound 4 WinModem, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
- The modem does not appear in Device Manager.
- When you run the diagnostics utility in the Modems tool, you receive the following error message:
- Dial-Up Networking programs cannot gain access to the modem.
- When you start Windows, you receive the following error message:
RESOLUTION
