SYMPTOMS
You are using both the Journal and Tasks features in Microsoft Outlook and you want to print the Timeline view. When you attempt to print this view, you find that only the Memo style is available. This style prints only table data.
RESOLUTION
To print the time line views of Journal or Task data, export the data from Outlook to a Microsoft Excel file and use the Chart Wizard in Excel to define a Gantt chart.
To export data from either the Journal or Task item, follow these steps:
- On the File menu, click Import And Export. Under "Choose an action to perform," click "Export to a file" and then click Next.
- Under "Create a file of type," click Microsoft Excel. Click Next.
- Under "Select folder to export from," click the folder containing the Journal or Task data you want to export. Click Next.
- In the "Save exported file as" box, enter a file name for the exported data. Click Next.
- Under "The following actions will be performed," ensure that the selection is correct and then click Next.
