SYMPTOMS
When you use one of the ActiMates software titles listed in the applies to section of this article, you may not be able to establish a reliable connection between the ActiMates PC Transmitter and your computer.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you use a Toshiba Tecra laptop computer with a docking station that contains a MIDI port and sound card. The Toshiba Tecra computer has a PCI sound card that uses a Crystal Audio chip. This sound card does not support the External MIDI feature that is required to connect the ActiMates PC Transmitter to the computer.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, contact Toshiba to inquire about obtaining the latest audio drivers for the PCI sound card.
