SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to use your Microsoft ActiMates character and PC Pack transmitter with one of the ActiMates-compatible software titles listed in the applies to section of this article, you may receive the following error message:
CAUSE
This issue can occur for any of the following reasons:
- The sound card installed in the computer is not compatible with the ActiMates PC Pack.
- The sound card or MIDI settings are not configured correctly.
- Radio interference is preventing the transmitter from working properly.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use the following methods:
Verify that Your Sound Card Is ActiMates Compatible

Check Sound Card and MIDI Settings
