SYMPTOMS

When you play Monster Truck Madness 2, the trucks may be black and scenery objects may be surrounded by black boxes.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if 3D hardware acceleration is enabled and the video driver installed in the computer is out of date or cannot correctly map the game's shadow and texture display features.

This issue has been reported with the following display adapters:

  • Matrox Millennium II
  • STB Nitro 3D
  • Diamond Stealth 2000


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact your hardware manufacturer to inquire if an updated video driver is available.

To determine the manufacturer and model of the display adapter installed in the computer, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click System.
  3. On the Device Manager tab, click View Devices By Type.
  4. Double-click Display Adapters to expand the branch.
  5. Note the manufacturer and model of the display adapter listed in the Display Adapters branch.
