SYMPTOMS

Garbage characters may appear in the Font menu when you are using TypeTamer version 1.1.9.

NOTE: TypeTamer replaces the standard Font menu in Word with a Font menu that is WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get).

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, turn on the standard "WYSIWYG font and style menus" option in Word. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Preferences.
  2. On the General tab click to select the "WYSIWYG font and style menus" check box.

STATUS

TypeTamer is manufactured by Impossible Software, Inc., a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this products' performance or reliability.
