SYMPTOMS
After you install Internet Explorer (the browser-only installation), the contents of windows may be displayed when you drag them.
CAUSE
When Internet Explorer is installed, it may enable the "Show window contents while dragging" feature.
RESOLUTION
To disable this feature, use the appropriate method:
Windows 98 or Plus! for Windows 95 Installed
- Click Start, click Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Display.
- Click the Plus! tab or the Effects tab.
- Click the Show Window Contents While Dragging check box to clear it, and then click OK.
Windows 98 or Internet Explorer 4.0, 4.01, or 5 with Active Desktop
- Double-click My Computer, and then click Folder Options on the View menu.
- Click the View tab, and then click the Show Window Contents While Dragging check box to clear it.
- Click OK
