SYMPTOMS

When a Windows NT Server computer with Service Pack 3 and File and Print Services for NetWare installed is under a heavy load (about 850 NetWare clients and over 50 printers), you may receive a Dr. Watson error in Nwssvc.exe after deleting a print queue and then deleting a printer in Server Manager. As a result, all the user connections to the server are lost.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Windows NT 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition Service Pack 4.
