This article contains an example Visual Basic for Applications routine to efficiently loop through each cell in a Word table. This example may help if you want to retrieve data from one or more cells and you find your code is slower than expected when retrieving items from a table.

The following example Visual Basic for Applications routine loops through each cell in the first table of the active document and assigns a value to the string variable "sCellText."

      Dim sCellText As String
