SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Outlook, some e-mail messages do not trigger the arrival notification sound or reminder.

CAUSE

The arriving e-mail notification is on a 5-minute cycle. The first message arriving at the beginning of a cycle will be announced. Subsequent arrivals during the cycle will not trigger the notification. The notification will execute only once during the 5-minute cycle.
