SUMMARY

In Internet Explorer 4.0, 4.01, and 5 the BACKSPACE key, ALT+LEFT ARROW key combination, Back button, the Back command on the Go menu (Internet Explorer 4.0 and 4.1), and the Back command on the View menu (Internet Explorer 5) behave differently from Internet Explorer 3.x.

MORE INFORMATION

When you go back to a previously viewed page in Internet Explorer 4.0, 4.01, or 5, any script on the previously viewed page is run. In Internet Explorer 3.x, going back to a previously viewed page containing a script redisplays the completed page you last saw instead of running the script again.

This change was made as an enhancement to Internet Explorer.
