SYMPTOMS
You may receive the following stop message:
CAUSE
This error can occur if "Bypass traverse checking" has been disabled for the user. When this option is disabled and during heavy usage (for example, during a backup), a very seldom-used code path is run. This function uses a zeroed IRP from its stack and, as a result, the stop occurs.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
