SYMPTOMS
When you double-click the Internet Explorer icon, you may receive one of the following error messages:
- Access to the specified device, path, or file is denied.
- Is not a valid Windows NT application.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if there is a folder or file named Program in the root folder.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use either of the following methods:
- Rename or remove the Program folder or file in the root folder.
Upgrade Internet Explorer to version 3.0 or later. For information about obtaining a later version of Internet Explorer, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
