This article describes how to upgrade a beta version of NetShow Theater Server to the released 3.0 version.

Due to major registry and file system changes, Microsoft does not support an upgrade of any beta Theater Server through an attempted uninstall or reinstall. If you attempt to upgrade pre-release versions, the Windows NT registry may be corrupted and may require a new, clean installation of Windows NT to a freshly formatted drive to restore the Windows NT registry.
To upgrade any beta version of Theater Server to the final released 3.0 version, install Theater Server 3.0 to a new installation of Windows NT Server 4.0 on cleanly formatted drives. Follow this process for the title server and all content servers as well as the Administrator System and ATM- ARP server if used.
