The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS
When you click an item in the Favorites Explorer Bar, you may receive the following error message
Explorer caused an invalid page fault in module <module>
where <module> may be <unknown> or Shdocvw.dll.
CAUSE
The item you clicked has a file name of 190 characters or more.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, use either of the following methods:
- Change the name of the item to a name that is shorter than 190 characters. To rename an item, click Organize Favorites on the Favorites menu, click the item, and then click Rename.
- Right-click the item in the Favorites Explorer Bar, and then click Open.
