Last reviewed: July 11, 1997
Article ID: Q171202

The information in this article applies to:

  • Softimage 3D for IRIX, version 3.51
  • Softimage 3D for Windows NT, version 3.51

SUMMARY

When you render fields using the SOFTIMAGE renderer with the Super Sampling option, the resulting scene may contain Alpha Channel artifacts. This is a result of the way that Super Sampling handles Anti-aliasing.

To eliminate artifacts when rendering fields, use the Barlett and mental ray renderers.
