INFO: Editing the SETUP_SOFT File to Change the Rendering Setup
Last reviewed: July 2, 1997
Article ID: Q170897
The information in this article applies to:
- Softimage 3D for IRIX, versions 3.51, 3.7
SUMMARY
It is possible to edit the SETUP_SOFT file of any scene manually before rendering by using jot or vi. You can change the rendering setup by simply entering a new number or by turning elements on or off without loading and saving a new scene.
Before rendering in a shell, you should check the SETUP_SOFT file to avoid problems (such as accidentally rendering an entire scene as a sub-region).
