SYMPTOMS
If you assign a negative fixed cost to a task that has no resource assigned to it, the actual cost will reflect the negative cost and the remaining cost will be zero, even when the percentage completed equals zero.
CAUSE
If the task has not started, the actual cost is zero and the remaining cost is the full cost of the task. When the task is completed, the remaining cost will be zero, and the actual cost will be the full cost of the task.
