SYMPTOMS
An empty tab is added to the Component Gallery for each Visual J++ project that is created using the Java Applet Wizard.
RESOLUTION
These empty tabs can be deleted from the Component Gallery by following the steps below:
- There must be either no workspace open or a Visual C++ workspace open to begin.
- On the Insert menu, click Component.
- Click Customize.
- Select the project from the Categories list box.
- Click the Delete icon.
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem has been fixed in Visual J++ 1.1.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior
- Create a Visual J++ Applet/Application using the Java Applet Wizard.
- Open up a Visual C++ project in Msdev.
- On the Insert menu, click Component.
- Click on the tabs created for the Visual J++ project. Notice that they are empty.
