SYMPTOMS
When you start PowerPoint again after it shuts down unexpectedly, the AutoRecovered presentation is always displayed in Slide view. This happens even if you were in Outline, Notes, or Slide Sorter view when PowerPoint closed.
CAUSE
This functionality is by design.
WORKAROUND
To turn on the AutoRecovery feature in PowerPoint, follow these steps:
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the Save tab.
- Click the Save AutoRecover Info check box to enable it.
- Adjust the number in the Minutes box to control how often PowerPoint saves the AutoRecover information.
