This article was previously published under Q157290

SUMMARY

If you select more than one slide in Slide Sorter or Outline view and then click Custom Soundtrack on the Slide Show menu, the only available choice in the Custom Soundtrack dialog box is Continue Music if Already Playing.

NOTE: The Custom Soundtrack command is available only if you have installed the PowerPoint Custom Soundtrack Add-In.

MORE INFORMATION

This behavior is by design. The default Custom Soundtrack behavior for all slides is to continue the soundtrack from the previous slide. This means that you need only change the Custom Soundtrack settings for slides on which you want music to start, music to stop, or music to change. You should change these slides one at a time. The rest of the slides behave the way you want them to automatically.

The PowerPoint Custom Soundtracks Add-In is a PowerPoint Add-In that you can use to add electronically-generated background music to your Slide Shows. You can install this Add-In from the following folder on the Office 97 compact disc:

   D:\ValuPack\MusicTrk

assuming that D: is the drive letter for your CD-ROM drive.
