Cannot Install Internet Explorer 3.0 with Windows NT 4.0 Beta

SYMPTOMS
You may experience problems when you attempt to install the released version of Internet Explorer 3.0 for Windows NT 4.0.
CAUSE
You may experience problems installing Internet Explorer 3.0 for Windows NT 4.0 when you attempt to install the released version of Internet Explorer 3.0 using a Beta copy of Windows NT 4.0. The released version of Internet Explorer 3.0 works only with the released version of Windows NT 4.0 (build 1381).
RESOLUTION
- Until the released version of Windows NT 4.0 is readily available, you can download and install the Beta 2 version of Internet Explorer 3.0 from the Microsoft Web site (www.microsoft.com). This version of Internet Explorer 3.0 works properly only with Windows NT 4.0 Beta 2 (build 1314).
- When the released version of Windows NT 4.0 is readily available, the Beta version of Internet Explorer 3.0 will be removed from the Microsoft Web site. At this time, upgrade your copy of Windows NT 4.0 to the released version and then download and install the released version of Internet Explorer 3.0 for Windows NT 4.0.
NOTE: If you currently use the released version of Windows NT 4.0, the released version of Internet Explorer 3.0 for Windows NT 4.0 is also available on the Microsoft Web site.

The released version of Internet Explorer 3.0 is build 4.70.1155. The Beta version of Internet Explorer 3.0 that is also available on the Microsoft Web site is build 4.70.1117.
