International Extensions for Microsoft Internet Explorer 2.0 (Internet Explorer 2.0i) lets you view HyperText Markup Language (HTML) documents that were created in different languages in any language version of Microsoft Windows 95.

Character Set Notes

  • ANSI stands for American National Standards Institute. This set is an 8-bit character set used by Microsoft Windows that allows you to represent up to 256 characters (0 - 255) using your keyboard.
  • 8859-2 is a non-Windows character set used in Eastern Europe.
  • KOI8-R is a non-Windows character set used for Russian Web pages.
  • EUC and JIS are non-Windows character sets used in Japanese Web pages.
