SYMPTOMS
The WordPerfect 5.1 for MS-DOS converter does not appear in the Save File As Type list, even though you have done a complete installation of Microsoft Office 4.2 or 4.2.1.
NOTE: This installation of Office includes Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, version 6.x.
CAUSE
This problem occurs when you install Office 4.2 or 4.2.1 and you have not previously installed the stand-alone version of Word.
RESOLUTION
Use the WordPerfect 5.x for Windows converter to save documents in the WordPerfect 5.1 for MS-DOS format.
STATUS
Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
