Bob: Display Hangs When Moving or Selecting Objects

The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOM

When you select or move objects in a Bob Letter Writer document the screen may not redraw correctly, or the machine may hang.

CAUSE

This situation can be caused by an outdated or corrupt ATI Mach 32 video driver.

RESOLUTION

To correct this behavior do the following:

  1. Change the color depth from 64K colors to 256 colors. To change the color depth to 256 colors go to the Advanced Features within the ATI Control Panel and set the 256 color palette to On.
  2. Reinstall the video driver from the original ATI drivers disk.
  3. Contact ATI for the most current video drivers at:
    • ATI Customer support: (905) 882-2626
    • ATI BBS: (905) 764-9404
