SYMPTOMS

When you are at the command prompt of a virtual DOS machine (VDM) on a Windows NT 3.51 and try to rename a file across the network, the following error message appears:

ACCESS DENIED


This symptom only occurs on Windows NT 3.51.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, rename the file from within File Manager.

RESOLUTION

This problem has been corrected in the latest Service Pack for Windows NT version 3.51.

STATUS
